I hate those people. I hate them more if they've also brought along their mini-disk or mp3 recorder so they can record the lecture as well - even though the library is already recording it.
They get hated most when they sit near me and make that 'tap tap tap' noise really loudly. Then put up their hand to make the lecturer say stuff again so they can get her exact words even though they're recording it and all she's doing is telling a non-examinable anecdote.
I had my first laptop looser moment for the semester yesterday. What made it worse was it was a small (maybe 20 people) seminar and not a big lecture. Besides the guy is annoying anyway. I'm still mad.

You're totally right - the worst are the ones who set up their laptop, leave it on their desktop... and then DONT type anything into it.

i used to hate the wankers who'd run up the front and put their tape recorders next to the lecture thingy (what do you call that? brain gone now) journalism students are the worst for this!
Nah, I reckon you have it all wrong. Try not to be so judgemental about someone doing something that has no effect on your life. The world has enough problems with people who do stuff that DOES detrimentally affect your life. If the person records the lecture onto mp3 but refuses to provide you with a copy of that file upon request, then and only then do you have grounds for anger.
